​Hello, my name is Gabriela Armenta. I was born in San Diego, but I grew up in Tijuana Baja California, Mexico with my mom, dad and three brothers. I earned my Bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. I have been teaching for many years, in public and private schools. While I taught at St. Jude’s, I obtained my Master’s degree in bilingual bicultural education. I love working with kids. I teach because I want to make a difference in students’ lives. I want to help them develop skills to become lifelong learners and enjoy learning. I want my students to know that they are important and that they are loved. When I am not at school, I enjoy running all over San Diego; if you see me, cheer me on!
