St. Rita's School Academics

Since it’s inception, St. Rita’s School has been focused on developing eager, Christ-like learners. We base our curriculum on the Diocesan standards and use the Standard Reference Grading method. The basic core instructional program includes: Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Computer Education. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities like Student Council and sports to enhance their overall educational experience.

St. Rita’s is a STEM school; meaning we are focusing on preparing our students for careers of tomorrow by fostering and perpetuating enthusiasm for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The curriculum provides a research-based framework and criteria for the school’s awareness, continuous improvement and assessment of the quality, rigor and substance of our STEM educational programs. With the guidance and partnership with the Diocese of San Diego and Loyola Marymount University, we will clearly define the qualities and components vital to creating and sustaining superior, student-centered K-8 STEM teaching and learning programs, as well as clear expectations for student outcomes and mastery of 21st century skills.

Accreditations
